Job Summary
The ideal candidate will create large-scale research plan that is complementary to or synergistic with ongoing projects in the lab; develop and maintain a well-focused, short-term experimental plan. Conduct and supervise conduction of experiments that answer significant scientific questions and advance the planned project; bring in or create technology as needed to overcome obstacles and achieve project goals; prepare data for publication, assist with manuscript preparation, assist with presentation preparations for external meetings, provide training in unique skills to other members of the Department, seek input and advice as needed for obtaining resources
and technology and interpretation of data from other members of the College.
This candidate will also maintain lab notebooks, describe findings and share information in lab meetings, serve as an intellectual resource for others in the lab; carry out a component of lab maintenance, maintain protocol archive, chemical waste, microfuges.
