Responsibilities

As a Senior Area Sales Manager, you'll drive business growth within your assigned territory by developing new accounts and expanding existing client relationships in the healthcare managed care space.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Management: Develop and execute strategic sales plans for your geographic territory/product line
  • Client Relationship Building: Conduct weekly or biweekly in-person visits to service existing clients
  • Business Development: Prospect TPAs, insurance companies, self-insured employers, and attorneys to identify managed care needs
  • Industry Representation: Attend conferences and events as a Genex ambassador to generate new business
  • Strategic Planning: Develop annual Branch Plans with your Branch Manager projecting growth targets
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with financial goals
  • Leadership Collaboration: Participate in bi-monthly pipeline calls with your Director, discussing prospects with 75%+ closure probability
  • Performance Tracking: Complete daily activity reports highlighting sales achievements
  • Presentation Delivery: Create compelling product and service presentations for clients and prospects
  • RFP Development: Contribute to proposal responses that secure new business
  • Resource Management: Oversee marketing expenses related to travel, conferences, and promotional items

Travel Requirements:

Strategic travel throughout your territory to maximize client engagement and business development opportunities.

  • Proven sales experience in healthcare, insurance, or managed care
  • Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strategic planning and territory management expertise
  • Self-motivated with ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management
