Overview
The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across all facility operations. This role plays a critical part in risk mitigation, regulatory adherence, and advancing the company’s environmental stewardship initiatives.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field (required).
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is required.
Additional certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 are preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HSE management experience in a facilities, industrial, or operations-focused environment.
Strong working knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with HSE management systems and reporting tools.
Ability to lift boxes and packages up to 60 pounds.
Capability to bend, squat, stretch, and perform other physical activities as needed.
Must be able to climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times daily.
Comfortable standing for extended periods during site inspections or training sessions.
