YOUR TASKS
The Structure Engineer is responsible for the Production Engineering and CAMO Engineering related to the maintenance of the airworthiness of the aircraft structure.
Technical support for the 145 activities in Leipzig and, if necessary, also at outstations in case of AOG (Aircraft on Ground), including support during shift operations if required.
Assistance in assessing damage to the aircraft and developing/agreement on repair proposals, possibly involving other engineering departments and the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
Coordination of external services (if related to the repair proposals).
Provision of engineering and troubleshooting support for the maintenance operation to ensure the technical condition and availability of the aircraft for operations, as well as providing technical support for other departments.
Participation in the creation and adjustment of the aircraft maintenance program.
Support in the preparation of the work package for Base Maintenance.
Review of the Base Maintenance Report and proposal for adjustments to the maintenance program, if necessary.
Identification and resolution of recurring issues with the aircraft structure.
Review, analysis, and creation of specific work instructions or maintenance procedures based on guidelines from manufacturers and/or aviation authorities (Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives).
Tracking of inspections or modifications and maintenance tasks carried out during operations.
Preparation of necessary reports in the event of technical investigations or analyses conducted.
Responsibility for event/incident investigations related to the aircraft structure.
Responsibility for the Dent & Buckle Diagram and documentation of repairs in the aircraft life record.
Definition and optimization of internal departmental processes.
Participation in cross-departmental projects.
YOUR PROFILE
Completed degree and several years of relevant professional experience or many years of relevant professional experience in aerospace.
At least 5 years of professional experience in aircraft maintenance, structure.
Profound knowledge in project management.
Willingness to work shifts and weekends if necessary.
Strong systematic and analytical thinking.
High level of personal commitment.
High resilience.
Motivated, flexible, and reliable.
Ability to work independently.
High degree of accuracy.
Ability to work in teams.
Very good written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
Good IT skills (Office products).
Very good knowledge of TRAX; knowledge of AMOS is desirable.
