Responsibilities

The role is responsible for leading a team of technical IT specialists providing infrastructure service management support along with second-line support to end users in the respective region with below overall responsibilities.

  • Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, etc.).
    • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of infrastructure components.
  • Service Delivery Management:
    • Manage the delivery of IT services to meet business requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Monitor service performance and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Incident and Problem Management:
    • Establish and manage processes for incident and problem resolution to minimize downtime.
    • Analyse incidents to identify trends and prevent future occurrences.
  • Change Management:
    • Implement and manage change management processes to ensure minimal disruption to services.
    • Evaluate and approve changes to the infrastructure and services.
  • Capacity Planning and Management:
    • Monitor and analyse the capacity of infrastructure resources to ensure they meet current and future business needs.
    • Develop and implement capacity plans to optimize resource utilization.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
    • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT services.
    • Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure effectiveness.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
    • Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance against SLAs.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management:
    • Develop and manage the budget for infrastructure and service management.
    • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and develop the infrastructure and service management team to enhance skills and performance.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with business units to understand their IT needs and align services accordingly.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding service status, incidents, and changes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements in infrastructure and service management.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance service delivery.
  • Governance, Risk and Compliance Management:
    • Ensure that infrastructure and services comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies from Infosec standpoint.
    • Implement security measures to protect infrastructure and data.
    • Data Protection principles, GDPR , DPDP , and other relevant regulations/laws with their applicability to Infrastructure solutions and business contract reviews.

 

 

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience within IT.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in infrastructure management.
  • Minimum 2-years’ project delivery experience.

Qualification: University bachelor’s degree in engineering or a business discipline and work experience, preferably in the Supply Chain , Forwarding/Logistics sector. Certifications like CCNA , PMP , Prince2 , ITIL , COBIT , CISSP , CISM , ISO 27001 , CIPM etc are preferred.
