Description

The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for an internship to work in our Orlando, Florida office starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Gunnery Training System (GTS) mission.  In this mission we are currently developing exercises for our training system in support of the US Army.  These exercises train our soldiers to become proficient with the Abrams tank. In this mission as an Exercise Creator, we are currently developing exercises for our training system in support of the US Army.  These exercises train our soldiers to become proficient with the Abrams vehicle. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support, either within the company or in support of customer contracts, on assignments using established procedures. Candidates are primarily engaged in technical, business or scientific related disciplines through the course of college study.

  • Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of duties in support of technical or administrative assignments using established procedures. May also participate in activities in support of multiple projects. May independently perform work as assigned by Management. Employee may have limited autonomy for an assigned area or responsibility within a function.

  • Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups. May have (limited) interaction with customers. Interaction normally involves exchanges or presentation of factual information.

  • Work is closely managed. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship Required.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Candidate must have good organizational skills and be detail oriented. 

  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft office products.

  • Candidate must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Candidate must have reliable transportation.

  • Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and timely with their peers and leadership. 

Preferred Qualification

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge.

  • Knowledge with MS Office products (primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00
