Administrative Assistant -- Architecture - Military veterans preferred

GMC has an opening for an Administrative Assistant to support our Architecture department in Montgomery, AL. You will have the opportunity to work in a creative environment in a family-oriented workplace alongside people who are passionate about our company and our community.

Essential functions and responsibilities: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. As a key member of an active, enthusiastic and growing office, this role will have a significant impact through a variety of duties including, but not limited to:

• Serve as the first point of contact for the Montgomery Architecture Department; either through telephone or face to face
• Provide general administrative support to various departments within the organization
• Assist with data entry, filing, scanning, and organizing documents
• Coordinate meetings and appointments, including scheduling and sending out reminders
• Assist with event planning and logistics
• Perform basic research tasks as needed
• Coordinate the stock of supplies and equipment for day-to-day office operations 
• Collaborate with team members on special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous office or administrative experience is a plus
• Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines
• Knowledge of basic office management software and tools
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and tasks
