Clinical Research Coordinator

The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator.

This is a position in a research setting involving collection of data on the role that cigarette craving and smoking have on social relationships. Employee will be involved in data collection and data management, will assist in initial recruitment and screening of potential subjects for the research grant.

Selected candidate must be able to obtain the Responsible Conduct of Research and Social-Behavioral-Educational Research certifications.

Job Summary

Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.

Essential Functions

The nature of the duties inherent in this position requires that the incumbent be ambulatory, have the manual dexterity and visual acuity to proficiently operate a personal computer and other office machines, and be able to communicate effectively.

Physical Effort

The position is primarily sedentary, although walking between lab rooms and escorting participants from the parking lot or building entrance up to the lab space will be required.

Hiring Range: $17.74 to $22.17 per hour
