Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Solid Tumor Product is responsible for driving growth and impact across NeoGenomics’ solid tumor oncology portfolio through sharp product execution, insight-driven strategy, and a relentless focus on the customer experience.
Success in this role comes from the ability to lead with urgency, inspire without authority, and deliver solutions that empower oncologists to act with confidence.
This is a high-ownership role driving the full lifecycle of existing and new products, with focus on increasing demand, optimizing our flagship offerings, and launching pivotal solutions that better the market and deliver on improving cancer care.
Core Responsibilities:
- Drive growth and demand. Take active ownership of solid tumor products across their entire lifecycle - from concept through launch, optimization, and retirement
- Champion a customer-centric mindset. Demonstrate customer empathy to ensure every facet of product design and customer experience are optimized for oncologists and their care teams
- Center on impact. Focus time and resources on initiatives that deliver transformative impact to customers, the business, or both
- Build cross-functional alignment. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical, R&D, and Operations to define product requirements and bring new solutions to market
- Actively manage the on-market portfolio. Analyze portfolio performance and customer feedback to proactively drive product evolution and sunsetting decisions
- Shape best-in-class product concepts. Develop business cases and opportunity assessments that reflect strong commercial intuition and deep understanding of customer pain points
- Deliver launch excellence. Support go-to-market success through clear product positioning, launch planning, sales enablement, and ongoing performance tracking
- Act with urgency. Generate and maintain project momentum with energy and clarity - knocking through roadblocks, aligning stakeholders, and centering on the importance to patients and providers
- Make the team better. Contribute to broader Product Management team initiatives that advance our processes, collaboration, and impact
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA and/or Master’s degree in scientific discipline preferred
- 5+ years of progressive product management experience in laboratory, pharma, or life science fields; deep understanding of product management, marketing, sales and business development, and product and service management
- Proven ability to launch and scale products that delivered measurable market growth, customer adoption, or clinical success
- Experience applying product thinking to challenges involving customer experience, workflow, or clinical decision-making
- Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional partners across matrixed organizations
- Experience developing, launching, or managing products in regulated or clinical markets preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency bridging scientific, technical, and commercial domains to connect with commercial value
