A3 Consulting, LLC is seeking a technical and meticulous QA Engineer to become the guardian of quality for a critical DoD Insider Threat program. This position will design and execute a comprehensive testing strategy, from manual validation to automated API testing, ensuring that every feature delivered meets the highest standards of quality and directly supports the mission and own the testing process from start to finish. In this job you will:
Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive test automation framework, with a strong focus on leveraging the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on user stories and technical requirements to ensure full coverage of new features.
Develop and perform rigorous testing on REST/SOAP APIs to validate data integrity, error handling, and performance of system integrations.
Execute Manual, Exploratory, and Regression testing to identify, document, and triage defects with precision.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex software issues, working directly with developers to ensure swift resolution.
Champion best practices for software quality throughout the Agile development lifecycle, providing feedback on requirements and designs to ensure testability.
Collaborate closely with Developers to understand the technical implementation of features and to reproduce and resolve bugs.
Clearly communicate test results, defect reports, and quality metrics to the Program Manager and stakeholders.
Qualifications for the role:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of dedicated experience in a Software Quality Assurance role, with a proven track record of testing enterprise applications.
Direct experience testing custom applications on the ServiceNow platform, preferably within a PSDS environment.
Hands-on experience with test automation, specifically developing and maintaining scripts using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Proven experience testing REST/SOAP APIs using tools like Postman to validate endpoints, payloads, and data integrity.
Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum development environments and defect management using tools like Jira or ServiceNow.
Direct experience supporting the Insider Threat Mission or other related security missions within the Department of Defense (DoD).
Desired Qualifications:
A relevant QA certification (e.g., ISTQB).
Experience with performance or load testing tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the role of automated testing within them.

Salary range:
The salary range of this position is $120,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
