Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex audiovisual systems for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of AV technologies, a keen eye for detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with clients to understand their audiovisual needs and developing comprehensive system designs accordingly.
  • Creating detailed schematics, bill of materials, wire run lists, network and power requirements and CAD drawings of audiovisual systems.
  • Selecting and specifying equipment such as sound systems, projectors, screens, control systems and video conferencing devices.
  • Collaborating with project managers and installation teams to ensure systems are correctly installed and configured.
  • Providing post-installation support, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest audiovisual technologies and industry trends.
  • Preparing and presenting design proposals, system proposals, and cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors for equipment procurement.
  • Performing site visits to verify system requirements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Providing technical support and training to operations and end-users.
  • Working collaboratively with others in the design and project management teams.
  • Working in a TRP office at least two days a week, typically at the home office in Owings Mills. Travelling to another office may be needed for site surveys, commissioning, or team meetings. The number of days may increase to reflect company policy. Candidate is expected to be on site for eight hours on the in-office days.
  • Working a full eight-hour day during normal business hours when working from home.
  • Completing required company-led training.
  • Participating in budget forecasting.
  • Requesting time off in advance to allow for coverage.
  • Aiding in others’ designs when needed.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to provide leadership
  • Exceptional communication skills
