Overview

We are seeking an experienced Windows Server Systems Administrator with expertise in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to support our commercial customer.

 

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the effective management, deployment, and administration of enterprise systems, with a particular emphasis on leveraging SCCM to streamline operations and ensure compliance with security and performance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation, administration, security, and monitoring of Windows operating systems and complex network systems, with a primary focus on SCCM for patching, software deployment, and endpoint management.
  • Administer SCCM to design, test, and deploy applications, packages, and updates across a diverse enterprise environment.
  • Develop and maintain SCCM task sequences, collections, and compliance baselines to ensure consistent performance and compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Provide expert recommendations on system design, vendor products, and enhancements to optimize the use of SCCM and other enterprise tools.
  • Research, recommend, and implement changes to enhance system operation, security, and performance.
  • Test deployments in controlled environments and execute manual remediation when necessary.
  • Develop, test, and implement robust system backup and recovery procedures.
  • Perform scripting and automation using PowerShell or Batch files to improve deployment efficiency and address operational requirements.
  • Monitor SCCM health and troubleshoot any configuration or deployment issues promptly.
  • Analyze, develop, and review enterprise computer systems, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Interface with client personnel at all organizational levels, providing clear communication and actionable insights regarding SCCM operations and system management.
  • Support Windows Server environments, including Server 2012-2022, as well as VMware virtualization platforms.

Salary: $117,000/yr. DOE



Responsibilities

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including application packaging, task sequences, and deployment strategies.
  • Proven experience with Windows 10 endpoint management and Windows Server (2012-2022).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
  • Experience in deploying and maintaining enterprise patch management tools, with SCCM as the primary focus.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and best practices for enterprise environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for system and network operations.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization solutions.

CLEARANCE LEVEL: Must be a U.S. Citizen able to get a government clearance in the future; able to pass drug screening
