Stockroom Manager
The Stockroom Operations Manager is responsible for day to day operations of a large research stockroom that inventories around 1900 of the most frequently purchased items by Stockroom customers across the campus. Position will work closely with the Departments of Biological Sciences, Neurosciences, Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy, and Med School by proactively looking for opportunities to assist team and department members and by supporting the overall goals of the University. The manager is responsible for making stocking decisions, maintaining inventory levels, executing daily replenishment orders, receiving inventory, picking, packing and shipping as well as the supervision of staff are part of the daily job requirements. The ability to understand, interpret, analyze and draw conclusions from system reports and sales trends is necessary. Computer experience is required and experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. This position coordinates efforts with Unity Lab Services and reports to the Director of Shared Research Support Services.
Oversees day-to-day operations of the stockroom. Manages and maintains stockroom inventory and troubleshoots a variety of supply chain, transportation, delivery, and customer service issues. Prepares reports, coordinates audits, and maintains files and database.
Ability to direct and supervise others, must have knowledge of PCs. Must have mechanical ability, good organizational and interpersonal skills and physical ability to receive and put away stock
The incumbent must walk, stand, bend, reach, and lift heavy objects as required. High level of physical effort in many aspects of the position
