Summary/Objective
The Cost Estimator II position is responsible for directing and completing cost estimating tasks and assignments. This position requires close client coordination to ensure project deliverables are met at the highest level of quality, and it requires careful oversight and management of project teams and budgeted hours.

Position Type

This is a full-time position.

Essential Functions

• Performs accurate quantity surveys to estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor's work, ascertaining that all CSI categories of work have been accounted for prior to submitting estimate for review.
• Ensures the timely and quality completion of cost estimating tasks and deliverables.
• Responds to client requests for explanations of cost estimates submitted by the cost estimating team.
• Maintains and implements cost estimating standards.
• Demonstrates industry-specific experience and knowledge.
• Analyzes project information and develops estimates from conceptual stages through final construction documentation.
• Controls project costs by collecting and studying information on design, procurement/construction, and implementing the most current data in construction management software systems.
• Interfaces with internal and external clients to produce accurate costs and scopes of work based on project drawings and specifications.
• Represents estimating team in internal and external project meetings.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• EIT or AACE industry certification or equivalent is preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in Cost Estimating, or equivalent prior experience and/or accreditation is required
• Experience with InEight software is a plus
• Experience in using RS Means estimating guides, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam Revu is preferred
• Ability to complete tasks independently with strong attention to detail
• Possesses exceptional written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities
• Proficiency in organizational and time management skills. Able to prioritize and multi-task; proactive and deadline-oriented

Travel

Ability to travel to various job sites and Envision offices as needed.

Salary

$80,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
