The successful candidate will participate in a range of on- and off-campus admissions and recruitment activities representing Clark University's undergraduate educational experience to prospective students, their parents, and counselors. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build and iterate strategies for effectively recruiting students and creating collaborative working relationships. The successful candidate will perform counselor-of-the-day duties on a regularly scheduled basis, which includes presenting information sessions to large crowds, meeting with individual students and families, and interviewing prospective students. The qualified candidate will review admissions applications consistent with institutional policies and priorities. All admissions counselors must use quantitative data, in addition to qualitative feedback, to improve their approach to engagement and student recruitment.
This assistant director will coordinate the alumni volunteer program including collaborating with the Alumni and Friends Engagement Office to recruit new volunteers, provide regular communication with volunteers about opportunities to engage, and assign volunteer tasks dependent on the admissions cycle
The candidate must possess strong communication skills and be eager to advance the work of undergraduate admissions. The candidate must have previous experience working in admissions or related fields. This position requires occasional weekend and evening work and about 6-8 weeks of travel per year.
