Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise daily activities of craft shops, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical trades.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of utility systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, environmental standards, and organizational policies.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and performance management for skilled trade employees.
- Review work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet operational needs.
- Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and project managers on utility-related work.
- Monitor utility system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and track resource utilization.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records for utilities and equipment.
- Respond to emergencies and provide direction during utility system outages or failures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in utilities management, facilities maintenance, or skilled trades supervision.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Previous supervisory experience managing multi-craft shops and skilled trades personnel.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
- Must comply with company and government reporting and documentation standards.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and facility management systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk for prolonged periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is an Onsite position that requires work to be performed onsite at an Aleut location
- Working indoors in an office environment, though may be some exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, and/or fumes.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.
- Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) per contract.
- Must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
- Must be proficient with the English Language per contract.
