Summary/Objective: The Measurement Systems Engineer will provide support on all processes related with measurement equipment, design and perform tests to verify the good functionality of the instruments/ equipment, as well as ensure the calibration and preventive maintenance routines comply with the technical specifications indicated by the manufacturer.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Analyze technical specifications and datasheets for measurement instruments / equipment.
- Design statistical tests (MSA: R&R, Bias, Stability, linearity, etc.) that help to ensure the good functionality of the measurement equipment.
- Review technical manuals of the measurement equipment utilized in the company in order to verify the WI for calibration/verification meet the manufacture specifications.
- Maintain control of the usage of the equipment and the stock of consumables, spare parts, etc. in coordination with TPG and the Calibration Laboratory.
- Design and program preventive maintenance routines, in case they are needed.
- Investigate and determine the equipment's characteristics needed, whenever new equipment is going to be purchased in coordination with TPG.
- Train the operators or OJT's about how to perform measurements using the Automatic visual inspection instruments (Sol and VERTEX) and their programs.
- Provide support to manufacturing on all related with the usage of automatic visual inspection instruments (Sol and VERTEX).

Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
- Excellent Computer Skills (databases, MS office, etc)
Education:
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Physics, Electrical etc.) related field or equivalent work. experience is required.
- .Experience directly in Measurement Systems or Metrology can be substituted for educational requirements.
