Applications are being accepted for a post-doctoral associate with a Ph.D. in a plant biochemistry- or natural products-related field (Plant Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) to conduct scholarly research on the plant metabolites that shape plant-microbiome interactions.
Position is for one year in length with a proposed start date of November 1, 2025.
The successful applicant will have strong experience in both chemistry and plant biology, including natural products biosynthesis and discovery, and related metabolite identification (i.e. through HPLC, Mass Spec, etc.).
Additional expertise in plant genetics and molecular biology is preferred. The applicant should have demonstrated expertise in chemistry and plant biology through a strong training and publication record in these fields. The candidate will also be expected to be a full participant in the intellectual activities of the laboratory, including group meetings, preparation of grants and fellowship applications, manuscript review, journal clubs, and mentoring students in the laboratory.
