Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.
Shift
Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00AM– 5:00PM (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed.
Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider functioning within the pediatric GI ambulatory setting works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multidisciplinary health care team. The APP functions primarily in the clinic, managing the GI needs of the identified population, and may also work closely with the outpatient testing groups, like pediatric endoscopy and peds sedation.
The APP is generally on a service-aligned team and collaborates with the team to manage patient care. In some instances the APP may have responsibilities for this same patient population in the consultative inpatient setting or serves a resource for the inpatient care team.
The APP has a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education and has a responsibility for ensuring an environment of safe, quality care. The APP demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
