Position Title: Director of Operations, CCG Services, Inc.
Department: CCG Services, Inc.
Classification: Staff, Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: President, Coalition for the Common Good
Location: Remote from anywhere in the continental US, with the ability to travel to campuses and other locations.

Compensation: Antioch University offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes both direct and indirect pay. The compensation will be based on experience, education, knowledge, credentials, and a consideration of the difficulty and complexity of the position. The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the President of the Coalition for the Common Good (CCG), the Director of Operations, CCG Services, Inc., oversees and coordinates the development and implementation of shared support services for the CCG Services, Inc. Leads the process to develop service level agreements (SLA) and scope of work (SOW) documents, including costs, to document services to be provided to the CCG members or clients. Evaluates the effectiveness of services provided and ensures adherence to SLA and SOW commitments. Coordinates CCG Services, Inc. daily operations, including personnel management. The position requires excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Percentages are estimates)

40% Develops shared services agreements between CCG Services, Inc., and Coalition for the Common Good members or clients.

  • Meets with Coalition members and clients to assess and document shared support service needs; determines viability of CCG Services, Inc., to meet the requested needs; develops individual SLA/SOW metrics based upon industry standards, including costs for services.
  • Coordinates with CCG Legal and Risk Management resources for contract review and approval. Reports on progress of SLA/SOW implementation to CCG Cabinet and Board as needed.
  • Works with CCG Cabinet and membership to develop new service opportunities to be offered by CCG Services, Inc.
  • Provides reports and updates to the SSO Committee of the Coalition for the Common Good’s Board of Directors.

35% Evaluates effectiveness of services provided by CCG Services, Inc.

  • Meets regularly with CCG members and clients to assess the effectiveness of services; determines adherence to SLA/SOW metrics; resolves problems with service delivery; manages renewal of SLA/SOW agreements as needed.
  • Identifies and reports on efficiencies gained/savings generated to members and clients through CCG Services, Inc. Issues ‘report cards’ to CCG Board on effectiveness of programs.

20% Coordinates daily operations of CCG Services, Inc.

  • Coordinates daily operations of CCG Services, Inc., including personnel services such as payroll and benefits management in coordination with CCG Human Resources; coordinates banking and bookkeeping needs, invoicing clients; manages CCG Services, Inc. taxes and audit responsibilities.

5% Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, organizational psychology, leadership or change management with three to five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

  • Experience in higher education, non profit management or related industry in a shared services or project management role.
  • Experience with an entrepreneurial start up organization.
  • Experience working in an organization with a remote, geographically diverse workforce.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects while meeting client expectations, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining professionalism.
  • Demonstrate superb organizational skills and accomplish deadlines and projects in a timely manner.
  • Able to prioritize and complete assigned tasks with attention to detail in an environment with competing demands.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Able to show initiative and good judgment in communicating with others and performing the duties of the position.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and to develop productive and respectful working relationships.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Google tools (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.).
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other bookkeeping software.
  • Experience with Paycor or other payroll vendors.

Hours of Employment

This is a full-time position serving a national university. A work schedule will be established in consultation with the supervisor.
