The Grant Administrator is working closely with the Counties, utility departments and fire victims to help rebuild utility connection within our community. Experience in horizontal construction is highly preferred. Come join our team!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Management team with setting up or closing out any necessary utility accounts.
  • Help establish & negotiate service agreements community-wide and manage the integration of acquisition accounts.
  • Liaise with the utility partners and various counties to rebuild lateral utility connection.
  • Research and schedule top rated contractors for facility projects; negotiate rates to minimize improvement costs.
  • Manage and track all grant applications and ensure that we are reimbursed.
  • Procure and keep stock of all company PPE and distribute to facilities, jobsites, and team members as needed.
  • Continually look for new solutions, aggressive pricing, and quality providers for all office service accounts.
  • Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions along with any additional duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Experience Liaising with utility companies and public entities.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment that result in making smart decisions that are in the best interest of the company.
  • Skilled in detailed planning and scheduling.
  • Flexibility to adapt to all situations and various work hours; ability to work weekends and evenings for special projects.
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Desire to develop and nurture Team Member relationships.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.
  • Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the relevant industry.

  • Utilize effective written and oral communications and team skills.
  • Demonstrate consistent ability to be dependable, diligent, and thorough
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and Excel.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's degree or bachelor’s degree in business administration, or equivalent experience, is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in a related position supporting management and public entities. Experience in the service or construction industry is preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $30.38-$38.49 per hour. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
