POSITION SUMMARY:
The North American Demand Planner willmanage the demand plan and forecast for a discreet set of product categories. Youwill work closely with the Senior Manager of Demand and Inventory Planning aswell as relevant operations and sales and marketing team members in an effortto optimize both fill rates and inventory. The Demand and Inventory Plannerwill additionally work closely with Targus’ supply partners across the globe toensure on-time delivery.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Analyze historical sales data to create a forecast of weekly and monthly product demand.Collaborate with North American marketing and sales teams to determine market. trends and the potential impact to the forecast. Maintain optimized inventory levels and customer fill rates.Identify and report on slow moving inventory challenges. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred3+ years of experience in a demand planning / supply chain roleArt: Must have the ability to deal with ambiguity and use their intuition and / or experience to solve challenges.Science: Have solid data management and problem-solving skills to forecast and solve supply problems that arise on a day-to-day basis.People Skills: Must have the ability to work with a broad spectrum of colleagues and supply partners and to influence their activities, all the while maintaining a collaborative and clearly communicated demand planning process. • Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong competency in Excel and extensive experience working withinERP systems (MS D365 a plus).Solid knowledge of internal controls (SOX) and delegation ofauthority.The ability to work with new technology and software tools toenhance our ability to deliver information in a real time environment. Prior experience with database systems is a definite plus. PHYSICALDEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:- Flexibility and ability to work non-standard business hours.
- Ability to work in an office environment as well as in a remotehome office environment.

- Constant ability to remain in a stationary position, move aboutinside an office or remote setting.
- Push, pull, lift or carry at least 10 lbs. on occasion: minimalkneeling, bending and squatting.
