Responsibilities

We are looking for a Fabrication Manager to join our team! In this role, you will oversee the training, productivity, and motivation of a team of Plastic Fabricators in producing HDPE dual wall pipe fittings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage Fab Shop programs and policies.
  • Hold regular production meetings with the team.
  • Lead safety standards and seek improvements.
  • Meet Fabrication Support Group reporting requirements.
  • Lead Fab/Plant improvement programs and Lean initiatives.
  • Ensure high product quality and seek cost and performance improvements.
  • Communicate regularly with Sales, Service, Application Engineering, and Fab Service Specialists.
  • Maintain production and efficiency standards.
  • Lead equipment preventive maintenance programs.
  • Manage raw material and finished goods inventory.
  • Handle personnel administration, including hiring, development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with budget creation and manage operating costs.
  • Maintain and build job skills through training programs.
  • Understand and practice ADS Core Values.
  • Satisfy local Plant reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or college degree preferred.
  • Supervisory training or related background.
  • Industrial maintenance/mechanical experience.
  • Master Fabricator Level preferred.
  • 3-5 years of ADS/Fabrication experience.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (75 pounds to a height of 6 feet).
  • Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to handle materials using hands, arms, and legs.
  • Full range of body motion, including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and mounting/dismounting industrial equipment and vehicles.

  • Ability to interpret basic drawings and orthographic projections.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ADS cross-functional experience (yard and plant).

  • Complete ADS Fab product/process knowledge.
