Overall Role Purpose
The Airfreight Commercial & Capacity Management Manager leads Procurement (Buying Rates) and Pricing (Selling Rates) strategies, focusing on carrier management, capacity optimization, and customer solution design within the airfreight division.

Key Activities
  • Carrier Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies for airfreight carriers, ensuring competitive rates and strong relationships.
  • Pricing Strategy: Create pricing strategies aligned with market conditions to enhance profitability.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze airfreight capacity trends to optimize resource allocation and meet customer demands.
  • Carrier and Supplier Management: Establish strategic relationships with key carriers and manage supplier performance to ensure service quality and optimal delivery.
  • Customer Solution Design: Design customer solutions by considering optimum routes and carrier combinations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track carrier performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • RFQ Strategy: Collaborate with sales to formulate strategic responses to RFQs, leveraging insights for competitive offerings.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify trends in carrier performance and pricing strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Profit Growth: Work with sales and AFR product teams to increase profit margins and market share.
  • Team Development: Foster a culture of quality and collaboration, promoting team development and training opportunities.
  • Technology Utilization: Use technology for data analytics and operational efficiency.

Competencies/ Expected Experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Airfreight business.
  • At least 10 years of working experience, preferably from logistics ex-perience in Freight Forwarding.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Proficiency in English verbally and in written.
  • Undertake any duties and responsibilities assigned by Reporting line manager.
  • Extensive logistics and distribution operations experience
  • Strong with Leadership skill and Strategic Thinking
  • Have responsibility on the assign task & work Independently (minimal supervision)
  • Positive Mindset (able adapt to changes)
  • Fast learner & Proactive
  • Degree in Business Administration or related subject
