About the RoleAs a Flight Safety Manager, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing flight irregularities and ensuring compliance with FAA and company safety standards. You’ll manage voluntary safety reporting programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA), conduct audits, analyze safety data, and lead investigations into events and incidents. A typical day includes engaging with flight crews after events, preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership, and maintaining key safety databases. This role requires strong leadership, analytical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
A Day in the LifeYou’ll…
Manage the Flight Irregularities Program, including flight crew contacts after events or incidents.Disseminate preliminary event reports and review all Pilot Debriefs.Maintain and analyze flight safety and mechanical databases.Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports for senior leadership and working groups.Participate in investigations of events and incidents reported by Crewmembers.Administer voluntary safety reporting programs (ASAP, FOQA, LOSA) and ensure effective trend monitoring.Develop and maintain Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) and present data-driven reports.Assist with Emergency Response programs and perform Root Cause Analyses.

Required Education & Experience3–5 years of aviation experience.Bachelor of Science in Safety, Aviation, Engineering Sciences, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, accident/incident investigation, and NTSB/FAA requirements.FAA Pilot Certificate or equivalent operational background strongly preferred.Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).Airman Certificate required.Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Experience5+ years of aviation experience.Previous commercial aviation experience.Strong working knowledge of Power BI.Expertise in FOQA program management and Root Cause Analysis.In-depth knowledge of FAA Part 121/135 regulations and SMS principles.Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
