Detroit Defense has an exciting career opportunity in our growing Acquisition and Logistics Division for a Logistics Analyst

supporting our Department of Defense customer in Warren, MI.


This detail-oriented Logistics Analyst will act as a liaison between the Department of Defense (DoD) logistics organizations to track and coordinate a variety of Sustainment planning activities for various DoD platforms.


This is an on-site position in Warren, MI and only candidates local to Warren, MI will be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program Management & Analysis: Evaluate and analyze FMS programs focusing on program management, planning, programming, cost, and schedule to ensure achievement of country program goals
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track case funding (country, case, line, requisition levels) using FMS databases; prepare status reports and provide input for program briefings
  • Cost Analysis: Provide input and recommendations for FMS case budgeting and pricing; perform cost estimating and analysis of data from USG agencies and other contractors
  • Logistics & Supply Chain: Research requisition status utilizing DSAMS, FEDLOG, I3LOG, CISIL, LMP, SCIP, and COP; develop recommendations to fulfill supply requirements and resolve shipped/unbilled reports
  • Schedule Management: Analyze program schedules, identify risks, and develop recommended milestone charts for delivery and fielding
  • Documentation & Agreements: Provide input and analysis for Letters of Request/Offer & Acceptance (LOR/LOA) and draft international agreements. Assist in the development of Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARP)
  • Program Support: Support Program Management Reviews (PMRs) by providing research, documentation, and recommendations. Provide asset status and technical information
  • Lifecycle Management: Assist in lifecycle management (research, development, production, fielding, and sustainment) of FMS systems
  • Meeting Support: Attend in-office and virtual meetings related to EDA programs and provide meeting notes
  • Equipment Inquiries: Review and coordinate equipment availability inquiries from USASAC and ODCs and review project codes request/renewals supporting financial transactions
Requirements:
  • A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field preferred
  • Experience with DSAMS, FEDLOG, I3LOG, CISIL, LMP, SCIP, CCOPES, and COP
  • Minimum of five years of experience supporting the DoD in sustainment planning
  • Excellent presentation skills including preparing and proofing presentation materials
  • Experience working cooperatively as part of a planning team
  • Must possess excellent customer-facing verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in multidisciplined and diverse team environments
  • Ability to provide effective and constructive feedback
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card and a Government Security Clearance
