Responsibilities

  • Handles customer inquiries, questions, calls, etc. with minimal guidance
  • Sends order clarification requests to customers.
  • Follows job duties by relying on established policies and procedures.
  • Inspection, review, and evaluation of turnout gear
  • Working knowledge of standard production work instructions, option placement, and general repairs
  • Other Duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service-related experience
 

 

·       Computer skills:  Intermediate skill with Microsoft 365; ability to navigate order system and access data. 

·       Written and verbal skills to clearly and accurately convey basic information.

·       Listens carefully to customers and seeks to understand their needs.  Maintains professional demeanor in customer telephone interactions.

·       Awareness of NFPA 1851 & NFPA 1971 standards

·       Ability to work with stitching team to evaluate feasibility of repairs and troubleshoot areas of concern before responding to customer.

·       Basic knowledge of product specific characteristics as well as option placements, and production capabilities.

·       Support field staff with wear test modifications/inquiries, factory or dealer errors, and general repair questions.  Must be able to independently assess feasibility of request and generate appropriate costs based on price book guidelines.  Investigates and resolves 75% of customer inquiries, questions, calls, etc. before appropriately seeking assistance from next level.

·       Prioritizes own tasks in order to complete them in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision.

·       Positively approaches change or new situations.
