About the Role:

As a Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the company's financial reporting by staying abreast of complex accounting standards and applying them to the company's operations. This individual will be a key resource for the accounting department and other business units, providing expertise on the accounting implications of significant transactions and strategic initiatives.


The Manager of Financial Reporting/Technical Accounting is responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Accounting with coordination of the financial activities of the Accounting Department.


A Day in the Life:

You’ll be…


  • Leading technical accounting research, analysis, and documentation for complex issues such as revenue recognition, leases, and stock-based compensation.
  • Preparing consolidated financial statements, regulatory reports, and technical accounting memos.
  • Oversee the application and implementation of technical accounting standards, ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Supporting the external audit process by collaborating with auditors and ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and SOX requirements.
  • Monitoring and revising accounting policies and internal controls to reflect best practices and evolving standards.
  • Partnering with teams across Finance, Legal, Treasury, and Operations to evaluate accounting implications of transactions and strategic initiatives.
  • Developing and delivering training to the accounting team on new accounting standards and policies.

  • Additional responsibilities include:


  • Contributing to stakeholder financial reporting processes, including annual and quarterly reports.
  • Maintaining general ledger details, supporting schedules, and reconciliations as part of the monthly close.
  • Providing clear, actionable insights to senior leadership by interpreting complex financial information.

  • Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA certification or equivalent required.
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or corporate accounting serving SEC Clients with a strong focus on Technical Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly present complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

  • Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with ASC 606 (revenue recognition) and ASC 842 (lease accounting) strongly preferred.

  • Skill, Licenses, & Certifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)


  • Pay & Perks:

    Compensation is $100,000 – $120,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
