As a Field Applications Scientist you will support customers and authorised sites within the designated region. You will provide remote and on-site training and support, as well facilitate market penetration by conducting technical seminars, and product demonstrations.

Currently, efforts will focus on use of the SomaScan platform as a discovery tool, and the opportunity for these clients to utilise SomaSignal Tests from our platform for entry into and monitoring during clinical trials and commercialisation of pharmaceuticals.

The primary assigned territory will be the Nordics, but this role will be expected to support colleagues across the wider EMEA region where required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Perform actions related to site set, training and support for SomaLogic authorised sites.
  • Present the SomaLogic technology and capabilities within large scientific meetings, conferences and trade shows.
  • Create, and deliver training materials (PowerPoint, whitepaper, technical note, etc.) for various scientific presentations and competitor positioning.
  • Perform activities related to equipment inspection in a laboratory setting, as well as assessing equipment and laboratory technical capabilities for technology transfer opportunities.
  • Support commercial team and customers with technical knowledgebase and problem solving.
  • Respond to client correspondence in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot protocols being run in client labs.
  • Train sales team members on messaging, as appropriate.
  • Document all technical inquiries in SomaLogic’s Salesforce system.
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by Manager.


Candidate Specification:

  • MS degree in the life sciences or related field; PhD degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years laboratory experience, with experience with authorised site installations as a bonus.
  • At least 3 years of customer support experience.
  • Experience with healthcare and pharmaceutical industries preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Able to travel 40% of the time.
  • Excellent organisational, and communication skills, with a strong technical writing ability.
  • Commitment to customer service.
  • Independent thinker with excellent problem solving and interpersonal skill.
