MD degree or equivalent

Completion of residency as well as fellowship training in orthopedic pediatric surgery.

Demonstrated ability in clinical teaching.
Required License/Registration/Certification
Eligible for a license to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky

Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
Job Summary
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and Lexington Shriner’s Hospital is seeking a physician faculty member to teach students and residents of the Orthopaedic Pediatric Service, as well as to provide care for the patients on this service.

The physician faculty will supervise medical students assigned to the Orthopaedic surgical service, as well as supervise and educate residents in the care of patients with musculoskeletal pediatric related diagnosis. This position will also be responsible for establishing protocols and critically evaluating outcomes as related to musculoskeletal pediatric patients, and will serve on applicable University and College of Medicine committees as assigned.

The preferred candidate will have a demonstrated ability in clinical teaching, as well as the ability to share responsibility for administration of the Pediatric program. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
