Financial Analyst III - Military veterans preferred

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Financial Analyst III.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP's Platforms Business Area is currently seeking a Financial Analyst. They will provide financial management support for a branch, office, organization, or department. They need to ensure spend plans aredetailed and executed accordingly utilizing both actual & projected data,metrics and graphical analysis is required in order to properly assistgovernment personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing/Populating Funding Document acceptance and modification based on government input.
• Analyzing financial data to identify project and organizational discrepancies as well as anomalies in task execution; this may include labor charges, non-labor cost reporting, erroneous charges, and overruns.
• Preparing weekly Expenditure Reports.
• Performing fiscal year closeout and startup analyses.
• Providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets.
• Measure organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
• Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organization’s spending.
• Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets. May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
• Produce executive summaries.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant degree desired.

Experience: 5-10 years in financial position.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Significant relevant accounting or finance experience in a U.S. Navy/DoD setting, including strong experience with financial transactions in the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) system is desired in order to assist with.
• Active Secret clearance is desired.
• Proficient in Navy ERP/EDW.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
