Description
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with mobility, comfort, and routine care needs.
Support healthcare providers in preparing treatment areas and equipment.
Maintain clean and organized patient care spaces following clinic standards.
Record basic patient information and assist with documentation under supervision.
Communicate with patients professionally and address their immediate concerns.
Assist in scheduling, patient check-ins, and administrative duties related to care.
Follow infection control procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Participate in training to improve patient support techniques and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in healthcare, patient care, or customer service preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with patients and clinic staff.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and electronic health record systems.
Compassionate approach to patient interaction and healthcare service delivery.
Schedule, On-Call, and Travel Requirements:
Standard weekday hours (Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm) with occasional extended hours to meet deadlines.
On-call coverage is required approximately once per month (or less frequently, as needed).
On-call shifts run for one full week: Monday through Sunday, 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Availability is required to respond to urgent post-accident or reasonable suspicion issues during these hours for clients.
Occasional travel may be required to support onsite services, attend meetings, or assist at other WorkCare locations.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent). Must be obtained within 1 year of onboarding.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
