Overview:

The Senior Software Developer supports the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) modernization of logistics applications and workflows is essential to ensuring the sustainment of surface fleet operations and aligning with broader DHS digital transformation efforts.

· Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

· Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

· Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.

· May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

· May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team

Required:

· MA/MS with 10 years of experience in the conduct of in-depth and complex research, evaluations, business intelligence, and market studies to obtain information on emerging technology needs and capabilities OR

· BA/BS with 12 years of experience

· Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS Office Suite products.

· Strong analytical background in gathering and interpreting complex amounts of data and excellent communication skills.

· Public Trust Clearance
