The Impact You Will Have

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking a Principal PEGA software developer! This role involves designing and developing innovative applications using the PEGA platform to support BlueCross's mission of inspiring change, transforming care, and improving health for the people they serve. The ideal candidate will have experience with PEGA development within the healthcare industryand a strong understanding of application development delivery.

A Day in the Life

  • Act as lead developer for PEGA applications - including designing, coding, and developing.


  • Work collaboratively on ascrum team with a scrum master, product owner, analysts, other developers, and testers to iteratively deliver functional code to production.


  • Provide technical leadership for PEGA applications to ensure usability, usefulness, feasibility, and cost effectiveness.


  • Work with analysts and customers to establishPEGA applications requirements.


  • Contribute innovative solutions while utilizing best practices, design standards, and governance.


  • Research technology trends and contribute to designs and technology application decisions.


  • Collaborate with technology leaders and architecture to develop application roadmap.


  • Mentor, lead and train other developers.


Required Skills and Experiences

  • 7+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.


  • Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.) - required within 1 year of employment.


  • Essential Candidate Qualities:


  • Creative thinking, strong communication skills, creativity, curiosity, self-motivated, time managements skills.


  • In depth experience with and knowledge of the following:Pega PCRC, Java, REST, OOP, HTML, SQL DatabaseandAWS


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree.


  • Development experience using PEGA.


  • Strong preference for candidates with healthcare industry experience.


  • Experience with agile, DevOps, IT Service Management, and other development and support processes and methodologies.


Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $115,000.00 - $155,300.00 - $195,600.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
