Research Technician
Undergraduate degree in Biology, engineering or similar required. Performs a variety of laboratory experiments such as histology, flow cytometry, molecular techniques, gene sequencing, and related technical functions, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis, including microsurgical procedures in mice.
• Identifies and prepares specimens.
• Oversees supply management: ordering, procurement, tracking estimates, and receiving items.
• Operates and maintains applicable laboratory equipment for job functions.
• Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and log books. Organizes and documents results.
• Maintains, calibrates, cleans, and tests sterility of laboratory equipment
Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment.
Ability to maintain laboratory operations, perform basic laboratory techniques, and organize and document results.
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
