This position reports to the L.N. Curtis & sons Salt Lake City, Utah facility and is part-time.


Job Description

The In-house Service Technician is a position that has a strong passion for the emergency responder industry, for example Hurst Jaws of Life. This position includes consistent effective communication with L.N. Curtis & sons team members and customers. The successful candidate will be expected to represent the Company and our manufacturers in a neat, orderly and professional manner.


What You'll Be Doing As A In-house Service Technician:

  • Service and repair hydraulic extrication equipment (Jaws of Life)
  • Service and repair SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus), masks and tanks
  • Enhance up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools.
  • Maintain an excellent driving record that meets requirements of our insurance provider.
  • Receiving incoming shipments
  • Maintain parts orders for customer repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of Service Center
  • Part Pick up and drop off as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

In-house Service Technician Must Have Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Capable of safely lifting and operating equipment weighing 75lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical and Electrical aptitude and experience

In-house Service Technician Must Have Soft Skills

  • Special people skills to deal with customers and co-workers.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively via both verbal and written means.
  • Demonstrated good judgement and a high degree of integrity.
