Responsible AI Senior Systems Engineer

The Software Engineer V will assist in the implementation and management of the DoD's responsible AI program. This role requires working with cross-discipline teams to address privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in AI/ML and analytics, developing policies, tracking program metrics, and integrating responsible AI tools into department use cases. The RAI Program Manager will also manage multiple AI ethics projects and support budget and contract tracking.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the client with the implementation and management of the DoD Responsible Artificial Intelligence program.
- Work with cross-discipline teams to understand privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in the use of AI/machine learning and analytics.
- Maintain cognizance of trends, advancements, and best practices in AI specific to ethics, privacy, fairness, and social responsibility.
- Develop policies and implementation guidance to facilitate the use of principle-driven decision frameworks for evaluating the ethical use of analytics and AI.
- Develop program metrics and performance indicators for tracking and monitoring the adoption of ethical AI principles and the socially responsible use of AI and analytics across the Department.
- Integrate responsible AI tools into Department use cases, develop performance metrics for these tools, evaluate their outcomes, and inform senior leaders of the results.
- Simultaneously manage and track the milestones, deadlines, and outcomes of multiple AI ethics projects and initiatives.
- Support budget and contract tracking to ensure data, AI strategy, policy, and Responsible AI (RAI) requirements are captured.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field
- Active TS with SCI Eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of expertise in the development of machine learning and AI infrastructure
- Minimum 2 years’ Experience working on priority DoD data analytics and AI platforms, such as JCF or ADVANA
- Minimum 2 years Expertise with Responsible AI Software Tools
