Position Description:

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager of Specialty Products, the candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of sales (internally) for the Specialty Products Group (SPG). The candidate will be responsible for inventory control, logistics, and billing of all SPG products including Warm Mix additives (WMA), Liquid anti-strip (LAS) and less tracking emulsion additives.


Essential Functions:

The following list is intended to be exemplary of the demands of the position, however it is not exhaustive of all day-to-day functions. The incumbent will be required to perform any or all of the following in a given day, week or season:


  1. Responsible for supporting SPG sales department.
  2. Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and Company employees verbally, in person, telephone, electronic mail, written correspondence including spreadsheets, and other computer-generated presentation and financial tools.
  3. Responsible for inventory management in collaboration with Zydex and 3rd party warehouses including daily reporting.
  4. Coordinate SPG tote/carboy orders using established procedures.
  5. Resolve customer inquiries in the most efficient manner as it relates to orders or billing.
  6. Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to ensure that the highest level of service and responsiveness is achieved.
  7. Clear understanding of financial key metrics of SPG sales book such as revenues, margins, and profits per unit of sales.
  8. Occasionally attend Industry Conferences to help promote Specialty Products.
  9. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  10. Salesforce administrator for SPG.
  11. Manage internal systems for SPG (Tableau/Vista)
  12. Manage TankScan monitoring system.
  13. Work in unification with SPG partner (Zydex).
  14. Occasional overnight travel.
  15. Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent industry experience
  2. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  3. Have experience in the construction/HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt) industry preferred
  4. Demonstrate good working knowledge of PG grade asphalt and asphalt emulsions preferred
  5. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Be able to successfully pass a drug screen
  7. Valid driver license and clean driving record are required.


Independent Action:

Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with the Manager of Specialty Products where clarification or exception to procedure may be required.
