Position Title: Associate Operations Analyst/Operations Analyst/Senior Operations Analyst
Location: Sioux City, IA, United States
Description:
The senior operations analyst supports the damage prevention program, field personnel, locate application and coordination of contract facility locators in the location and the prevention of damage to facilities owned by the Company; provides coordination with state and locate damage prevention agencies; drives excavator performance through heavy hitter management and root cause reviews. The senior operations analyst will gather and evaluate technical, operational and field data to identify anomalies or trends in data and provide recommendations to resolve problems.
This position is posted multilevel. The role will be offered based on candidate education, work experience, and skillsets.
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Manages the locate application that routes locate tickets to locate vendors and internal applications for locating. This includes technical analysis to determine root cause issues, running queries, application testing, defining system requirements with one call centers and coordination with one call centers.
Provides timely and accurate reporting of field related activities through the preparation of written reports, analysis, and other directives as required.
Promote supporting a work force through company employees and contractors in the locating and protecting of all subsurface facilities owned by the company. Promotes and ensures a safe work environment for all company employees and provides thorough training.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with regulatory agency personnel and participates in working groups with regulatory agencies and industry trade organizations.
Reviews and helps make damage root cause determinations, reconciles damage data, files formal complaints with regulatory agencies and ensure appropriate heavy hitter actions are taken.
Ensures all compliance aspects of the position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to the position and company.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Operations Analyst requires six or more years' experience related to utility and/or business operations or equivalent.
Senior Operations Analyst required eight or more years' experience related to utility and/or business operations or equivalent.
Advanced degree preferred.
Advanced leadership skills to direct the activities of individuals and/or teams toward the accomplishment of goals.
Effective analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze data and to recommend appropriate course of action.
Planning skills to develop plans and forecasts and to manage and coordinate projects.
Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively present information and persuade opinion.
Proficient skills in excel, access and sequel database inquiries.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
