Expert BS, SQL - Military veterans preferred

As SQL database Expert Business Support Service Line at DHL Global Forwarding Freight (DGFF) Global Service Center (GSC), you will be responsible for handling SQL related task and  maintenance of Database activity in an individual capacity. Your core requirements will be to review the request received from BP and develop/maintain the SQL database accordingly as a successfully deliver projects while meeting the cost, timescale, and quality parameters in line with overall business objectives and needs, and group guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and functions.
2. Write optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications and reporting.
3. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide solutions
4. Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
5. Develop and implement data migration and ETL processes.
6. Ensure data security, integrity, and consistency.
7. Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
8. Create and maintain documentation of database designs, configurations, and procedures.
9. Support database-related activities in development, testing, and production environments.
10. Should be able to write and Understand Complex set analysis 
11. Database Knowledge is must
12. Able to work individually
13. Creating and maintaining technical documentation (Design Document, Test Case Document, Deployment Document and Distribution Document)

YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate (Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in any discipline)
• Proven experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or other database management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization (DBA tasks).
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Proficiency with handling good amount of data.
• Strong English skillset in verbal/written is required
• Knowledge on Microsoft Office Tools
• Knowledge on visualization Tools
• Strong analytical Skills
