Description:

Hui Huliau Technology Services LLC is currently seeking a Senior Systems Architect to join their rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in designing and maintaining hybrid cloud/on-premise architectures and possesses strong domain knowledge in healthcare data exchange and federal IT systems

This position requires U.S. citizenship, U.S. residency, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the enterprise technical authority across multiple system domains including VistA extraction (VX130), cloud-based analytics platforms, and large-scale database systems.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture artifacts, including technical roadmaps, integration strategies, system topology, and platform-level decision frameworks.
  • Provide architectural oversight for mirrored IRIS environments, SAN-based storage infrastructure, and hybrid deployment models involving Azure-hosted components.
  • Guide the alignment of system designs with long-term data syndication, migration, and analytics goals across VA-hosted and external systems.
  • Evaluate existing architecture and recommend improvements for scalability, availability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with system engineers, integration developers, and infrastructure teams to validate and implement architectural solutions.
  • Support the development of backup/recovery strategies, change management protocols, and disaster recovery alignment across enterprise systems.
  • Lead technical design reviews and ensure that development activities adhere to architecture standards and best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, system design, or solution engineering roles supporting large-scale, mission-critical environments.
  • Deep knowledge of hybrid cloud/on-premise infrastructure, including Azure cloud services and data center operations.
  • Extensive experience supporting enterprise database platforms, including InterSystems IRIS/Caché, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-availability systems architecture, data integration patterns, and system performance optimization.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across infrastructure, application development, and data architecture domains.
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements within federal IT environments, including support for ATO efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, system design, or solution engineering roles supporting large-scale, mission-critical environments.
  • Deep knowledge of hybrid cloud/on-premise infrastructure, including Azure cloud services and data center operations.
  • Extensive experience supporting enterprise database platforms, including InterSystems IRIS/Caché, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high-availability systems architecture, data integration patterns, and system performance optimization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to travel, as needed.
  • Office computers and equipment, telephones, radios, Microsoft Office suite of tools, Web Based Applications, electronic spreadsheets and database analysis, outputs, and reporting, virtual data sharing platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and other forms of remote work-sharing tools.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and work at a computer for long periods of time. Ability up to lift 25lbs on occasion, stretching, climbing stairs, and walking.
  • Must have personal computer with reliable Internet service.
