Program Coordinator - OLLI



This staff member will support the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), a membership-based community of “50 and better” adults who are passionate about learning. The Program Coordinator will do this by managing program operations, supporting members and instructors, and planning trips and special events. Will collaborate with the Director to develop enhancements to current programming, create new initiatives for future programming, and work to achieve all goals of the OLLI strategic plan.


Job Summary

Manages academic program operations and assists with enrollment or other similar functions for assigned college, campus, or department. Coordinates training and development for faculty and advisers and provides academic advising to assigned students. Coordinates research within the department as well as recruitment activities.


Essential Functions

Key duties include promoting the OLLI program to recruit instructors and grow membership, conducting instructor and auditor orientations, managing member services, troubleshooting and resolving concerns with online and in-person classes, planning and executing of special events, lectures, and trips. Other important functions include securing on and off campus venues, scheduling catering and facilities, reserving transportation, and admission tickets. Position requires local and/or domestic travel with OLLI members.

Other duties as assigned.


Physical Effort

Duties are primarily sedentary. Must be able to use a computer at a desk or similar workstation, and travel to on-campus meetings as needed.
