Job Summary:

Hui Huliau Defense Systems is looking for a Subject Matter Expert - Firewatch.

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), this role provides direct, high-level support to the Hawaii based EVP across a portfolio of strategic initiatives in Advanced Manufacturing and National Defense. The position requires deep technical knowledge, analytical capability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring the successful execution of complex, multidisciplinary projects.

The SME-Firewatch will play a critical role in advising on project planning, execution, and deliverable development, contributing subject expertise to guide research, innovation, and stakeholder engagement. This role demands agility, discretion, and a strong understanding of industry trends and defense-related priorities to support EVP mission-critical objectives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• SME in all regards to Firewatch
• Providing deep technical knowledge and expertise to guide project planning, execution, and the development of deliverables.
• Offering subject matter expertise to influence research, innovation, and engagement with various stakeholders.
• Applying strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to solve complex, multidisciplinary problems.
• Ensuring the successful and timely completion of mission-critical projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Deep technical knowledge in Advanced Manufacturing and National Defense. (This isn't just a general understanding; it requires a high level of specialized knowledge.)
• The capacity to break down complex issues and provide data-driven insights.
• The ability to anticipate challenges and take initiative rather than simply reacting to problems.
• Must be able to perform ego suspension and work with high maintenance individuals.
• The role requires adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• US Citizen and Eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

• Predominantly Sedentary work. Work is performed in an office or home office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Requires the ability to walk short distances.
• Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
