Position Summary:
The SIUE Foundation is seeking a skilled and proactive Database Manager to oversee the administration, performance, integrity, and security of our constituent relationship management (CRM) systems, with a primary focus on Blackbaud Raiser's Edge. This role is instrumental in managing the database infrastructure that supports alumni engagement and fundraising efforts across the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Raiser's Edge CRM and related systems, ensuring optimal functionality, reliability, and data security.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement technical solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Perform regular imports of new and updated constituent data including alumni, donors, faculty/staff records, employment data, and prospect screenings.
  • Create and manage data queries, exports, and reports to support strategic decision-making by leadership and university partners.
  • Maintain high data integrity through routine audits, deduplication, and health checks, implementing tools and processes to proactively manage data quality.
  • Develop and document policies and procedures governing database use, data standards, and security protocols.
  • Lead user training sessions, provide end-user support, and communicate system updates and best practices.
  • Support compliance with data retention schedules and ensure adherence to data governance and privacy regulations.


Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Data Analytics, or closely related field

2. Three (3) years of work experience in IT-related functions such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field, which includes supervisory or lead worker capacity
