In this position, you will work with systems experts, program planning personnel, and operational personnel to create and maintain performance solutions. Work will emphasize collaborating with SMEs to collect, develop, and refine content for Interactive Courseware (ICW), IETMs, and solutions combining Training ICW and IETM elements in support of NAWCAD WOLF's Airborne Systems Integration ePerformance team at Webster Outlying Field. This position is best supported by someone able to work at NAWCAD WOLF's Webster Field location at least 2 days a week, candidate within 60 miles of St Inigoes Maryland and able to attest they can support this requirement will be given credit in assessing candidate qualifications if they can meet this requirement.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' experience, an associate's degree in a relevant field with at least 7 years' experience, or a high school diploma/general equivalency diploma (GED) with at least 10 years' experience including 3 years of either military training delivery or 5 years of military technical manual authoring experience. USN/Marine/Army/Air Force training/courseware development, S1000D IETMs, and/or translating DoD System engineering/system test documentation into logistics or technical manual content experiences is highly desired. A master's degree in instructional design, education, courseware development or training may take the place of 2 years of professional experience.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and able to qualify for a security clearance. An active security clearance is a plus. Position may require non-local travel up to approximately 10% of the time, therefore the ability to support occasion travel of up to 1 week duration is a requirement.
Required Skills:
  • At least 3 years' experience translating engineering, COTS, and/or logistics source data (written and/or from subject matter experts) into task performance guidance and skill development materials for adult operator, trainer, and/or maintainer use. Alternately, at least 7 years of experience providing training or education on technical topics such as science, technology, math, or computer systems. For up to 2 of the 3 required years in the first sentence, 2 years of technical training/education experience may substitute for 1 year of that experience.
  • Experience and strong desire to participate in the full project lifecycle from concept to delivery and sustainment of content-driven end user technical documentation especially interactive courseware (ICWs). This includes requirements gathering, iteratively working with SMEs to translate source materials, refactoring an existing mix of training, instructor lead training materials, student guides, ICWs, MRC, IETM/TM content for mixed use across training and technical manual use, updating ICWs/IETMs, and supporting new ICW/IETM development.
  • Ability to harmonize inputs from disparate sources and de-conflict input based on existing documentation and through interaction with internal and external stakeholders under project lead guidance.
  • Ability to translate goals into and/or to develop effective detailed task instructions based on subject matter experts for end products.
  • Ability to apply style and authoring guides to written content.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with team members and customers at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a focused, dynamic, and fast-paced team environment with accountable deadlines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing intermediate features of Microsoft Word including style development, complex table development, page layout settings, and in-document links, as well as work with basic XML content authoring.
Demonstrated experience must include at least 3 years in 3 or more of the following areas or 6+ years in at least 1 area (experience may be concurrent):
  • Updating materials based on new requirements, process changes, or systems configurations.
  • Development of DoD Interactive Courseware.
  • Development/review for DoD job aids, instructor led training, or hybrid training.
  • Translation of COTS/GOTS manuals into tailored learning materials and technical manual executable procedures.
  • IETM development for non-DoD organizations with at least 1 year of DoD Acquisition, Logistics or USN/Marine Corps experience.
  • Development of NAVSEA Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs).
  • Creation of video based instructional content and interactive media for learning and/or skill development use
  • XML authoring.
  • Adaptation of training materials for delivery in new formats such as classroom to virtual, classroom or virtual to interactive courseware.
  • Experience delivering, developing, or evolving training for hybrid delivery on technical topics.
  • Applying evidence-based feedback on training or courseware efficacy to evolve training materials to better support targeted learner communities.
  • Development of scenario-based training and/or video game story design.

  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex, technical systems in simple, concise terms and support efficient learner development of performance-oriented skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance information presentation, instructional design, and technical procedural content with the use of multimedia and targeted interactivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly gain core competency with military hardware and software systems such that working with subject matter experts is effective, efficient, and evolutionary.
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing advanced features of Microsoft Word including style development, complex table development, page layout settings, and in-document links.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with advanced XML content authoring and automation.
  • Actively support program meetings, conferences, and reviews including preparation of minutes highlighting key information and decisions.
Salary Range: $68,000 - $90,000

The projected compensation range for this position is $68,000.00 to $90,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the overall salary range for this position and is just one component of Antech's total compensation package for employees.
