What You Will Do
Provide individual, group, and crisis counseling to students. Perform psychological assessments to assist in diagnostic differentiation and proper treatment planning for students. Coordinate and initiate the necessary assessment batteries to appropriately evaluate students and make clear recommendations. Provide input to Counseling and Health Services staff during case conference and group supervision. Provide recommendations to the Director on the psychological components of complicated student issues. Supervise a graduate level practicum counselor and post-doctoral resident. Develop and provide psychoeducational outreach to the campus community and surrounding community. Make recommendations to community based mental health professionals regarding the clinical needs of students (e.g., hospitalization and psychological or psychiatric follow-up). Foster relationships throughout the university through collaboration and collegiality.

FLSA: Exempt
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
-PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology
-License (eligible) in the state of Illinois (must obtain IL State License by 2nd year employed)
-Trained knowledge of DSM-5-TR classifications, therapeutic orientations, and treatment modalities.
-Completion of accredited internship.
Ability to administer, score, and interpret Level C batteries of psychological assessment and provide appropriate follow-up report. Outreach/presentation skills. Must possess strong individual and crisis intervention and group psychotherapy skills. Able to work cooperatively as a clinical team member with quality written and oral communication skills.
