Function/Duties of PositionThis position is in the Biostatistics and Design Program within the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health. This position is intended for an SPH Graduate Student in the MS or MPH program in Biostatistics.
Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Graduate Program: MS or MPH in Biostatistics program at OHSU/PSU School of Public Health (minimum 4.5 credit hours)
Experience with statistical programs such as Stata, R, SAS or others, data managing/curating datasets for anaysis, and strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated mature and effective interpersonal communications skills including tact, diplomacy and flexibility with appropriate demeanor to maintain good working relationships.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with faculty and investigators, staff, students, and visitors at all levels within OHSU and in the community. The ability to forge and foster collaborative working relationships and enlist the support of faculty and staff, both within and external to BDP and SPH.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage and perform multiple tasks under conditions of fluctuating workloads, competing requirements, and changing deadlines; and following through on assignments.Â
Discretionary judgment necessary to handle confidential matters.
Strong demonstrated organization skills, with the ability to understand overall program objectives and maintain attention to detail.
Database development (e.g. REDCap)
