The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate and competitive construction bids by analyzing plans, specifications, and project requirements. This role manages cost estimates, reviews documents for discrepancies, and ensures bids are completed in alignment with company standards and client expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare clear, detailed, and timely estimates and bids for commercial construction projects.
• Perform precise quantity take-offs and develop project budgets.
• Interpret and apply contractual terms and conditions.
• Solicit, evaluate, and organize subcontractor and supplier quotations; negotiate pricing to ensure compliance with project requirements; issue purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Maintain and update a cost database for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Conduct site visits and gather relevant data for accurate estimating.
• Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine time, cost, material, and labor requirements.
• Utilize company estimating software to prepare proposals.
• Stay current with building codes and apply knowledge to estimates.
• Support and uphold company safety policies and practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction industry experience required; prior estimating experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with schematic design and design development budgeting a plus.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency required).
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction practices.
• Solid math skills, including arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Must remain drug-free at all times
