JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Training & Quality Specialist (LTQS) will facilitate, organize, support and report on all Operations Training and Quality programs under the guidance and direction of the site Training and Quality Manager or Supervisor. This role delivers comprehensive and engaging training programs that prepare individuals for their roles at DHL, considering diverse learning styles and fostering motivation. This role conducts thorough audits of employee work, supports identification of root cause issues, and actively participates in the implementation of improvement measures to enhance quality performance in line with DHL's vision to be the Quality Leader. A strong understanding of DC operations, training methodologies, and quality control processes is required. To Ensure sufficient readiness for performing on-the-job ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports the delivery, and continuous improvement of the New Hire Onboarding program. Organizes, coordinates all activities related to NHO with Training and Quality Manager or Training and Quality Supervisor. Supports employee training, development, onboarding, and retention efforts. Conducts floor training for new hires, agency and DHL current employees using the “4 Steps of Instruction” and “Getting Ready to Instruct” methods. Provides training to Training & Quality Specialist in Training the DHL Way ensuring best practices are being followed. Assists the Training & Quality Supervisor with assigning work duties and reporting areas of concern to the Training and Quality Manager or Supervisor. Conducts on the job continuous training, cross training, and retraining, including safety methods and production standards for personnel in the Operations department. Supports further development of training materials. Responsible for the reporting of training and quality activities using designated tools, documents, and share sites. Collaborates with the operations management team on employees’ progress and recommend actions for improvement. Provides feedback to Training and Quality Manager or Supervisor on course effectiveness based on observations and experiences and recommends changes. Delivers in various training mediums: operations training, online learning, classroom learning, and others. Deliver training and quality assurance for new process implementations. Maintains quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. Supports the investigation & resolution of local quality-related issues in partnership with the Training and Quality Manager or Supervisor, including support with root cause analysis and corrective actions utilizing FC methodologies and tools. Supports other activities as requested. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma required. Associate degree preferred. Internal: 1 year experience as an OPT, QAS or Training and Quality Assurance Specialist External: 1 year experience in a training or quality role. Certified in the 10 Hour Training the DHL Way Program - training to be provided by DHL. Must possess exceptional communication skills, both written and oral. Previous supervisory experience a plus. Basic skills in the Microsoft Office Suites (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). Training within Industry (TWI) a plus. Knowledgeable and fluent in all Departments: EN, IB, OB, Receiving. First Choice Bronze Certified a plus. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Strong coaching, teaching, and leadership skills. Be a role model for Training the DHL Way to all front-line staff and Training and Quality Specialists. Excellent oral communication, writing and reporting skills. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively. Ability to organize and manage concurrent projects and priorities. Ability to collaborate and partner with all levels in the organization. Action-oriented, self-starter who can delegate and be hands-on as situations deem appropriate. High energy with the ability to work in a challenging environment. Forward thinking, committed to continuous improvement, and excited to develop the skills of team members. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Walk about the office and warehouse to access training materials, office machinery and office supplies. Unload supplies and other materials weighing up to twenty pounds to organize or deliver to end user. This is a warehouse environment where this position will frequently be exposed to cold, hot, and changing temperatures, noise at medium level, dust, dirt, and changes in lighting. May require periodic travel for off-site training and support.
