Work is performed in assigned zone locations and employee may occasionally be exposed to elements, weather, and other non-office or inside building type conditions.
Shift
- Part-time ~ 20 hours per week
- Weekends
- Between the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM
Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors and may include some nights, weekends, and holiday response.
Job Summary
The STEPS Grounds Worker supports campus maintenance and landscaping to ensure safe, clean, and attractive outdoor environments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring various bins around campus and UK Healthcare are cleaned – including sanitation of bins
• Removing litter, emptying trash, and maintaining cleanliness of grounds, stairwells, and parking garages
• Preparing for and responding to winter weather events, including snow and ice removal at all hours (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Performing post-winter cleanup
